Design & Character

Effortlessly cool and thoughtfully renovated, Aliza maintains its historic Art Deco heritage in a relaxed, beachy way. Communal outdoor seating encourages guests to soak up the Southern California sunshine with a book in a hammock chair or unwind on a plush couch beside a trickling Moroccan-style fountain. Vines producing fresh passion fruit climb along several walls and entryways, while a sun-washed palette and natural wood furnishings keep the mood connected to the coast.

The Rooms

All 19 accommodations at Aliza feature vintage-inspired accents and thoughtful details such as custom in-room fragrances and toiletries by Public Goods. Curated Slim Aarons artwork adds retro color to the clean white walls. Some bathrooms retain original 1930s tile, while others have been updated with more contemporary finishes. The two-bedroom bungalow is the property’s standout option, with a private back patio, full-service kitchen, elegant dining room, and cozy den. The emphasis is less on formal luxury than on quiet comfort, creating a genuine home-away-from-home feel.

The Food & Drink

There is no on-site restaurant, but the hotel partners with nearby Cafe Gratitude and can arrange in-room dining for guests. Organic Groundwork Coffee is available in the lobby, along with a hydration station offering hot and cold water.
