The Andronis brand has earned a reputation as the pinnacle of luxury on Santorini. This family-owned collection has four different properties across the island, with three being in the touristy and bustling town of Oia. Andronis Concept, however, is located in the quieter and more relaxed village of Imerovigli, boasting sweeping caldera views and a holistic wellness ethos. All 28 suites and villas contain their very own private plunge pool, prioritizing privacy for guests craving a romantic and restorative escape in Santorini. Those brave enough to embark on the 6.5-mile Fira to Oia hike will appreciate the easy access, as the hotel is perched on a scenic cliff right along the trail. Despite its secluded feel, Andronis Concept is still within easy reach of the island’s buzziest spots.
Design & Character
Andronis Concept trades Santorini’s signature white-washed cubes for a decidedly modern take on Cycladic design. Minimalist interiors meet an almost brutalist aesthetic, while artistic Greek touches remind you where you are. Warm lighting, clean lines, organic textures, and a neutral palette filled with earthy tones and calm greys envelop guests throughout the property, but outside, vibrant pink bougainvillea and a thriving garden pay homage to the island’s natural beauty. The contrast between the contemporary, pared-back architecture and bursts of Mediterranean greenery creates a serene sense of calm, enhancing the wellness-centered ambiance.

The Rooms
During my stay, I was treated to the Epos suite—a two-story accommodation that had elements of what I can only describe as a contemporary Grecian cave. The downstairs area featured sculptural couches and cream-colored drapes, and though I had a private patio on the lower level, almost all of my time was spent on the second-floor terrace, where my infinity-edge plunge pool awaited. The first time you take in the lengthy caldera view and lights of Oia in the distance, you feel as though you’ve been transported to another planet. The scene is otherworldly, and you can actually feel the ancient energy that permeates the air. It’s the kind of view that makes you want to cancel your plans and stay in the room, sans cell phone. Beyond that, it’s hard to imagine a better vantage point for one of Santorini’s famous sunsets, though on-site restaurant Throubi did put up a good fight.
The Food & Drink
Throubi is the hotel’s sole dining destination, serving elevated Greek fare in a picturesque setting right along the Fira to Oia trail. During dinner, guests can choose between a prix fixe tasting menu or à la carte ordering, but every meal kicks off with the restaurant’s signature fluffy focaccia and olive oil (which is made from 8,000-year-old olive trees). Other menu highlights include the rich guancia pasta, grilled octopus with fava purée, and the fresh fish of the day served alongside a local bottle of Assyrtiko wine. Mornings at Throubi are free of charge for guests, and I highly recommend starting with a basket of flaky croissants and the rotating selection of Greek meats and cheeses. Main courses range from omelets to power-packed bowls, but don’t overlook the Greek-style Benedict featuring fried zucchini fritters and a creamy, whipped feta base.

The Amenities
Wellness is at the heart of the Andronis Concept experience, with Kallos Spa offering restorative treatments in a candle-lit, cave-like space, along with services such as red light therapy and cryo. There is also a main, infinity-edge swimming pool with an accompanying bar, and a covered, cavern swimming pool for those trying to cool off from the Santorini sun. Guests are also encouraged to leave a manifesting wish inside the hanging boxes just outside the gardens, playing on the spiritual side of wellness. Beyond the spa and pools, Andronis Concept offers a 24-hour fitness center, complimentary breakfast, and room service. When it comes to island exploration, guests should take advantage of the free afternoon shuttle to Oia, which drops you in the heart of town at sister property, Andronis Luxury Suites.

Location & Neighborhood Recs
Imerovigli is one of Santorini’s most picturesque villages, sitting right between Fira and Oia along the island’s caldera edge. I woke up early on my first morning and got lost within the steep alleyways and hidden stairwells, exploring sights like Skaros Rock and the blue-domed Anastasis Church before the afternoon crowds descended. That said, I do suggest traveling in Oia for shopping and highlights like Amoudi Bay (just be mentally prepared for the stairs). You can also stop by the other Andronis hotels for lunch at Miltos' Greek Table (their Greek salad is a must) and a fancier, fine-dining evening at Lauda.
