Like most Baglioni properties, Baglioni Hotel Regina wears its rich history on its sleeve.

The bones of the hotel are a true vintage masterpiece, built in 1892 and designed by Giulio Podesti on Rome's prestigious Via Veneto. The property has long drawn elite crowds, from Queen Margherita of Savoy to history's boldest cultural icons. With rich marble, Murano glass chandeliers, and classic Novecento Italiano design, its enduring star power is no surprise.

Design & Character

The interior architectural style combines Italian Art Deco with classic 19th-century grandeur. The lobby entrance signals the direction with Siena marble floors, towering columns, and a dramatic staircase winding directly from the lobby to the main guest floors.

The soaring foyer does nothing subtly, including nods to royalty and Rome’s treasured ancient past. The space houses historic artwork, including a 19th-century portrait of Queen Margherita by Michele Gordigiani and a bronze Retiarius gladiator statue.

Once a vast ballroom, the reimagined Caffè Baglioni retains its original white stuccoes, violet walls, and gold-leaf detailing. It is a testament to the hotel’s thoughtful restoration, preserving historic bones while refreshing the space.

The Rooms

Across 95 rooms and 23 suites, the design focuses on dark polished marble floors, restored mahogany and burl woodwork, and hand-blown Murano glass fixtures. Standard Baglioni perks include Illy coffee, Acqua di Parma or DELLALUNA bath amenities, fully stocked minibars, and daily turndown service.
