Design & Character

First opened in 1966 and recently reimagined, Hotel Taburiente strikes a sophisticated balance between timeless elegance and contemporary edge. Interiors draw from Mediterranean and Art Deco influences—think marble floors, gold accents, and plush velvet furnishings.

A playful indoor-outdoor theme runs throughout—from a glass-walled lobby terrace, complete with a full-sized tree, to the rooftop’s faux lawn and a fourth-floor wellness lounge opening onto a private veranda.

Art is thoughtfully integrated into the design, from Japanese-inspired prints in the reception to huge surrealist pieces in the velvet salon. The result is a stylishly curated escape that feels both grounded and globally inspired, matching the cultural fusion of the hotel’s restaurant, Cayote.

The Food & Drink Situation

Dining at Hotel Taburiente centers around Cayote, the hotel’s signature restaurant, where traditional Canarian food is reimagined with Latin and Asian flair.

The culinary team works closely with local producers and prepares over 100 ingredients in-house—expect a bold, seasonal tasting menu paired with local and Mediterranean wines.
