HOTEL SNAPSHOT

The Hoxton, Edinburgh brings the brand’s signature contemporary zest to the Scottish capital, reimagining a cluster of elegant Georgian-era townhouses with the same sleek style and quirky character that has made it a favorite among younger travelers. This debut marks The Hoxton’s first location in Scotland. Like the other properties in the portfolio, the Grosvenor Street outpost balances historic and hip, contributing something fresh to the city’s cultural conversation.

Design & Character

Tucked inside a string of historic Georgian-style townhouses, the 214-key hotel fully embraces its role as a time-straddler. The palette of pink, green, and cream, along with glass chandeliers, nods to old Scotland. Midcentury furnishings, bold tile fireplaces, and youthful energy give the hotel a fresh, sociable character.

The Rooms

The rooms are sleek and stylish, pared down but not sparse, and filled with Georgian-influenced personality. Expect saturated hues, velvet headboards, and geometric art. Categories range from the compact Snug and bunk-bed-equipped Snug Bunk to the spacious Bigg Up, with a writing desk and plush sofa seating area.

For more space, book one of the three Hox Houses, each with a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and bathrooms, and separate hangout zones.

Food & Drink

The all-day modern Italian trattoria, Patatino, keeps the lobby buzzing. The haggis and nduja pizza with rocket, jalapeño, fior di latte, and hot honey may convert even skeptical taste buds.

Amenities

The Hoxton specializes in warm, inviting spaces where guests and locals mix. Beyond the lobby, which works as living room, bar, and all-day eatery, the property has a pint-sized cinema. Flexible check-in and check-out are available upon request. Families can borrow cribs, bottle warmers, bath products, and coloring books, and dogs are welcome.

Location & Neighborhood Recs

Set on Grosvenor Street in Haymarket, the hotel is a short walk from Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, and Old Town. Nearby favorites include Timberyard and Cloisters Bar.
