Olympos Mountain Lodge Is an Alpine Retreat Set Above the Turkish Mediterranean’s Buzzy Beach Scene
Eight stone-and-timber rooms, a chef-owner, olive groves, and Lycian Way access create a mountain counterpoint to Antalya’s beach towns.

Why it works
Hotel Snapshot
The lodge sits on ten acres of gardens and olive groves above the ancient coastal sites of Olympos and Phaselis.
A fireplace, bar, record player, and the owner’s two dogs give the arrival the intimacy of a private mountain home.
Design & Character
Built in 2005 from rock and timber, the lodge follows the landscape rather than competing with it. Cedars, pines, junipers, olive trees, and distant sea views define the setting.
The Rooms
Five lodge rooms, one fireplace chalet, one detached cabin, and one suite use stone walls, timber, Turkish rugs, tall ceilings, and private patios.
The chalet adds two bedrooms, a terrace, and a private entrance.
Food & Drink
Owner Mehmet Ali Börtücene also leads The Rabbit Hole restaurant, where daily tasting menus use local and seasonal produce.
Breakfast is included, lunch mixes Turkish staples with modern dishes, and guests can join cooking, pasta, pizza, liqueur, and forest-foraging workshops.
Amenities
A pool overlooks the Mediterranean. Private transfers, guided hikes, wine and whisky tastings, and a seven-course dinner beneath an old cedar at more than 5,000 feet can be arranged.
Spa & Wellness
There is no formal spa, but in-room massages are available. Hiking the Lycian Way, visiting waterfalls, and exploring the mountain landscape form the core wellness program.
Location & Neighborhood Recs
Olympos and Phaselis combine beaches with ancient theaters, baths, necropolises, and ruins about thirty minutes down the mountain.
