Happenings is back in your inbox on this fine Thursday, courtesy of HAP editor, Luke Abrahams. Let’s catch you up—Italy started fining clueless tourists, the once-sacred hotel buffet breakfast is getting the axe (RIP unlimited bacon), and São Paulo casually dropped Latin America’s first private air terminal like it’s NBD. Oh, and yes—there are dog-friendly beaches, glamping setups cooler than your actual house, and hotels dripping with charm. Read on, y’all.

I love dogs. I am British, so it is in my blood. Searches for dog-friendly vacations are on the rise, especially across the pond, so it's only natural that one of these godforsaken surveys caught on to the trend and compiled another clickbait list. France's Plage de la Salie came out on top, followed by Praia do Cabedelo in Darque in Portugal. For the rest, see the full list here.

The boot of Europe is sick of your crap, and to curb bad tourists, the Italians have come up with a new set of rules and regulations to make sure you behave yourselves on your next visit. From eating on the ground in Venice to wearing flip-flops in Cinque Terre, you could be fined up to $500 in some parts for disrupting the peace or for chipping a monument while you lean on it to escape the heat. The moral of the story is, don't be an idiot and show some respect. Dodge the fines here.

I do love a buffet brekkie, but darn are they wasteful. With sustainability and regenerative tourism at the top of any responsible brand's agenda, many are asking if now is the time to retire the all-you-can-eat breakfast? Once the biggest crowd pleaser for hungry AF Americans, the once hallmark of the luxury hotel scene is now under fire for its waste, overconsumption, and environmental impact. While I am all for choice, there's nothing wrong with going up to someone and begging Oliver-style for a smidge more of caviar topping from Diane at the egg station. Right?! Lounge? Please. Try Your Own Private Air Terminal 🛩️

Private jet vibes—without the jet. Terminal BTG just touched down in São Paulo, and it’s Latin America’s first-ever private terminal inside a public airport. That’s right: no crowds, no chaos, just private customs, security, luxury transport, and concierge—no matter your airline or seat class. As private air travel booms, this is the sweet spot: all the exclusivity, none of the charter fees. It’s a major flex for Brazil, putting São Paulo on the map as the new capital of cool for luxury Latin America-bound globetrotters. The commercial lounge is out—the private terminal is in. - BB
