Downtown Jackson isn't exactly known for its spa scene. Restaurants, bars, and boutiques, yes. But as a place to recharge with a sauna, facial, or great massage? Not so much.
The Spa at Hotel Jackson changes that equation. Tucked inside the upscale, family-run hotel in the center of town, the 7,000-square-foot sanctuary is surprisingly substantial, with seven private treatment rooms and a modern fitness center.
The design is mountain glam rather than predictable Western, with gorgeous large-scale crystals adding sparkle throughout the space. It's an elegant setting for some serious post-adventure recovery, especially in a destination where hiking, skiing, and spending long days outdoors are often the point of the trip.
The treatment menu covers both recovery and skincare. Massages are designed to soothe tired, overworked muscles, while facials feature Natura Bissé, the high-end Spanish skincare brand known for its results-driven formulas and decidedly luxurious treatments.

After a full day of hiking in the area surrounding Jackson, my husband and I were in desperate need of massages. We both booked the 90-minute CBD massage, which uses CBD-infused oil to help ease aches, tension, and sore muscles.
My therapist didn't rely on a single technique. She stretched me, worked pressure points, and alternated long strokes with deeper work where I needed it most, backing off on areas that were particularly sore.
And there were plenty of knots to tackle. By the end of 90 minutes, my tight muscles had loosened considerably, the aches from our day on the trails had subsided, and I was deeply relaxed.
My husband emerged equally happy. For two people who had spent the day putting our legs to work, it was exactly the recovery session we needed.
