Hotel Snapshot at Trailborn Jackson Hole

At the foot of Snow King Mountain, the 203-room Trailborn Jackson Hole puts a spin on the classic Western resort that's somehow both chic and playful, pairing chalet-inspired architecture with whimsical touches. Ski-in/ski-out access, a lively restaurant with an expansive patio, a duckpin bowling lounge, and a year-round pool and hot tub make it as appealing for post-adventure unwinding as it is for exploring the Tetons.
Jackson Hole has no shortage of places to stay, but the newest Trailborn outpost makes a strong case for choosing a resort that’s as much a destination as somewhere to shower and rest. Opened in May 2026 following a complete transformation of the former Snow King Resort Hotel, the dog-friendly property is the largest in Trailborn’s portfolio and its first ski-in/ski-out resort. The concept is refreshingly straightforward: spend the day skiing, hiking, or exploring the nearby national parks—Grand Teton is just north of town, and Yellowstone’s south entrance is a 1.5-hour drive—then return to a place where a swim or hot tub soak, a hearty meal, a lively game room, and complimentary Après Hour are all part of the plan. The hotel also sits just a short bike ride, or slightly less-short walk, from downtown Jackson, so it’s easy to balance mountain time with the town’s restaurants and shops.
Design & Character at Trailborn Jackson Hole

The redesign preserved the buildings’ original chalet architecture and exposed beams while giving the interiors a warm, whimsical twist on Western style, with Midcentury-modern influences. Reclaimed wood, native stone, and rich greens and browns create a sense of place without leaning too heavily into cowboy clichés. Antler chandeliers and Tetons-inspired artwork add character, while colorful wildlife tapestries hang above beds and leather door hangers read, “Enjoying some rest in the great Mountain West.” In the lobby, soaring stone fireplaces and low-slung seating invite guests to linger.

Trailborn’s 203 rooms and suites pair a cozy alpine aesthetic with contemporary comforts, including custom robes and Bellino bedding, Fellow tea kettles, and Grown Alchemist bath products. Mountain-view and balcony rooms let guests enjoy the setting even from inside, and King Suites add a sleeper sofa for extra space. Families and bigger groups should consider the playful-but-practical Elk Bunk Room, accommodating up to six guests in two queen beds and two single bunks up top.
